My interest started when I was a child, and my mother and her friends took me to Poplar Bluff Mo.  to the fortune teller.  It was a dark dreary old house, in old town, with creepy pictures, one with a religious woman with a big open heart in her chest, and other strange items around the room.  Mom and her friends were all widows, and was concerned about their future with men is what I gathered.  Any way when what she predicted come true about the time she said they would it got my attention.  In my childhood I seen and heard some things that I could not explain, and no one could or would explain it to me.  As I grew up my folks would tell us tales of the old days of spooks and haunts that was in Randolph County where they were raised.  I would give anything if I had a record of them or remembered more of them.  Later in life I worked as a police dispatcher, patrol officer, investigator and finally Chief of Police.  I quit a few years into my career and operated ambulance services both here and in Missouri.  I also worked for a private investigation company for about two years.  It was there in the private investigation years that I become re-acquainted with Mediums.  We were working a case of a missing person, when the owner of the company and I both come to a dead end.  He knew of a Medium/Clairvoyant in Ca.  He contacted her on the phone and while looking at a photo of the lost one, she gave us leads after leads where she might be in Oklahoma. Long story short, after a lengthy trip to Ok. We solved the case.  We used her numerous times on missing persons, homicides and more.

Later when I got back into law enforcement, while working a missing child case a local woman contacted me and said she could help.  I met with her, and she told me her story, and assisted me in finding the lost child.  She had the correct information and sent me in the correct direction.  I have also used a physic in Pa. which I become acquainted with; I used her for several years until I retired, for many cases.  One case she really come through on was a rape case, I did not think she was leading me in the right direction, but I went with it anyway and sure enough she was right.  I regret I have lost contact with both of them since I retired, the local lady moved, and the e mail I had for the other is no longer any good.  But since then I have become acquainted with probably the best of the best.  They are in Eureka Springs Ar. And both are men and one in Little Rock that is a woman.  Then in my law enforcement years, there was an occult problem in the area.  I researched it and attended all classes that were offered though out the state.  I started teaching about occult crimes to law enforcement and it became know, then I traveled the State and a Police Academy in Tennessee, doing seminars on the occult. From there it just progressed thought out my life.  In the years since 1973 every job I have had deald  with death.   Suicides, drowning, vehicle accidents, homicide, s.i.d.s. and just sleeping in the patrol car in grave yards on late shift.   I have seen a lot of things I cannot explain to this day.  I also see things in the paranormal investigations I cannot explain.  That is why it is Paranormal; it is out of the normal range.  The one thing I did learn is you better be a God fearing Christian, before you mess with some of the things out there that is not explained.  You can get possessed.  Beware and leave it to professionals.---Doug
